YDA's Mentoring proram, in partnership with the office of Legislator Spencer, is looking for Mentors and Mentees.  The program will October 17th and meets on Wednesdays from 4 to 5 pm at YDA's Northport location (324 Main Street).  If you are interested in having your child participate or becoming a Mentor, please call Michelle Burnham at 261.7901!

Elwood & Harborfields

High School

YDA staff work collaboratively with school staff to facilitate a one-weekend retreat and school meetings where students become trained to be effective communicators/helpers. Students learn to use appropriate communication skills to help their peers explore alternatives, possible consequences, and to encourage them to make responsible decisions.

Middle School

YDA's After School program provides students a quiet place to do homework for the first half of the program and during the second half students can enjoy recreation and other activities designed to improve their social skills. This program is limited to 10 students. Registration requires a signed permission slip returned to the Main Office by September 26th. This activity meets at Boyd Intermediate School and begins on October 4th, 2018. THIS PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY FULL.

Northport/East Northport

High School

Middle School

Make cool crafts and fun treats after school with YDA! Projects to include DIY kinetic sand, edible marshmallow playdough, dish soap silly putty and more! The cost of this program is $40. Creative Creations meets at Northport YDA (324 Main St) and runs October 4 through October 8 from 4 pm to 5:00 pm.

YDA After School is a two hour program where students do homework for the first hour of the program and during the second hour enjoy recreation and other activities designed to improve their social skills.
