Elwood & Harborfields

High School

YDA staff work collaboratively with school staff to facilitate a one-weekend retreat and school meetings where students become trained to be effective communicators/helpers. Students learn to use appropriate communication skills to help their peers explore alternatives, possible consequences, and to encourage them to make responsible decisions.

Middle School

Do you enjoy gaming and technology? Ever dream of designing video games? Join YDA for the opportunity of a lifetime as we explore the world of coding and game design in "Project Spark" at the Walt Whitman Mall Microsoft Store! This program is currently only open to youth attending Elwood Middle School. Youth will be picked up at EMS and transported to the Walt Whitman Mall in the YDA van and brought back to YDA Greenlawn (71 Broadway) at 6 pm where parents must pick them up. The cost of this activity is $10 and it begins January 28, 2016.

Northport/East Northport

High School

Middle School

YDA After School is a two hour program where students do homework for the first hour of the program and during the second hour enjoy recreation and other activities designed to improve their social skills. This activity meets at East Northport Middle School and is held in Room 101. Youth must have a permission slip to attend. This activity begins September 29, 2015.
